My nickname used to be Tri-Pupil.

MC has never been into drawing.

Her lack of enthusiasm used to worry me a bit, and I wondered if the disinterest had anything to do with her poor vision.

A few weeks back she started drawing faces.

This afternoon she drew me.

Surprisingly, she captured me perfectly.

(Those who are close to me often notice my ocherous aura and my spudlike frame.)

Was the title something along the lines of, "Mommy after her morning happy pills"? Smiles that big happen a lot whenever chemistry is involved.

At least she views her mommy as someone very happy...

I like what you have done with your hair.

Sir--Do you not know that I never crack a frown in the presence of my family?!?!

Mizmell--I was a bit relieved that she didn't draw me crying in the corner with a bottle of caramel sauce.

Sueb0b--Yeah, it's sort of like Gene Wilder during his Willie Wonka days.

I LOVE the way your limbs don't actually touch your body. That's a rare thing ;-)

My children, all three of them, stubbornly refused to draw EVER before they started school.

Now, they all enjoy it and are very good.

    The end.

I'm VERY impressed! My 4-year-old still just draws random squiggly lines and circles and calls it something like, "an elephant at the zoo!"

Your hair has a lot of body. Lucky.

I love that stage where people drawings are giant heads with appendages. It reminds me of when my sister was that age, and my dad explained that it's what small children see from their perspective. He had me kneel on the floor so that I was Katie's height, and then showed me that when he bent down to pick me up or play with me, it was like a giant head with arms zooming in. It made me realize what a great artist she really was. :) MC is obviously well on her way to becoming a portrait artist, especially with the way she catches the twinkle in your eye and the highlights in your hair.

Personally, I'm enamored of what appear to be detachable ears, Ms. Potato Head. I have to think those are mighty handy.

I just had to come by and say OLIVIA DREW A FACE! Two nights ago she was doodling on some paper and she said, "Look Mama - it's you!" and sure enough it was an actual circle with eyes and a smiley face.

And my first thought? To take a picture of it and email it to you. *lol*

No idea why it changed my name to "ee" on the post above - but it was me.
