Things are going quite well at the Pudding house. Fabric is being cut, no humans are ill, I’m rolling on the current book club selection, I’m hooking up with a friend this evening for dinner, and the cats are toying with the idea of becoming pals.
Thanks to each and every one of you for the comments and e-mails regarding my next camera purchase. I really do appreciate you and your thoughtful words. My Lumix DMC-ZS3 should be arriving in the mail on Friday, and I couldn’t be more pleased. It will fit in my pocket, it has a 12x zoom, and I’ll be able to take videos on the fly. (Please know that I’m never quite serious when I use phrases like “on the fly.” It all goes back to the days during which I wore opaque tights every day of the week. Analysis gap! Vertical integration! Future-proof! (Yes. I sort of miss those days.)) Anyway, the SLR will eventually cross my path. For now, I’ve got what I need, plus three pairs of opaque tights.

Love the new masthead! Also, as a fellow cat lover, have you ever noticed that the new kitties make the fact that your current house cat is err….pleasantly plump much more noticeable?

My calico has no tail. We were initially told that it probably fell off because of birth trauma (her brother at the Humane Society did have a tail.) But when she decided to ingest some styrofoam infused with Yin Ching Spicy Crispy Beef yumminess, I had an xray done. The vet said that there was never a tail and that she is part Manx. She still doesn’t take corners well at high speed!

Okay, I’m a loser and didn’t notice your new masthead…sorry. My zoomed right to the kitty cats.
I’m also in the market for a new smaller camera and have been drooling over the Coolpix S630. But I like the reveiw that yours got. I can’t really afford a new camera (I have a large SLR that is in fine working order…it’s just so BIG!), so I will continue to dream and dool.
Enjoy and I can’t wait to see your pictures!
