Dancing on the Field

I believe Meredith’s dance on the soccer field today pretty much sums up how I feel to have this weekend behind me.

Good News: Our next book club selection is Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Even better news: The next book club meeting will include flaming cheese.

Middlesex is one of my favorite books. I think you’ll really like it.

Flaming cheese, soccer dance party, and hermaphrodite little people as heroines. A happytime hat-trick!

Flaming cheese is always a plus.

I need to finish reading Middlesex. It’s weird, I read The Virgin Diaries in a weekend, barely taking my nose out of the book to eat, and I’ve had a bookmark in Middlesex for over a year. It’s good so far, I just don’t have the time. :(

I finally got that song out of my head. And what do you do?

    PUT IT RIGHT BACK IN.

You’re a cold woman, Mrs. Pudding.

Oh, I loved that book. I read it for a book group a few years ago – back when they actually discussed the book, that is.

I liked that book. It took me almost a third of it to really get into it, but then it was great!

I know that I am late on this comment but I hope you read it anyway.

My head immediately snapped back with the phrase “flaming cheese”.

Are you going to the Olympia? (my favorite place on the planet for food)
