It is 6:40pm.

The temperatures are dropping, so today I started a pair of fingerless mitts as I waited for Meredith to get out of school.

If I had less stuff on my plate and in my head, I would knit 100 of these and just leave them around town.

I’m currently listening to Amy Poehler’s “Yes Please“.

I’m currently reading Lena Dunham’s “Not That Kind of Girl“.

I have no idea why my quotation marks are going the wrong way, and I will now exercise self-forgiveness by leaving them as is, although it’s making me very twitchy. (I’ve already tried to correct them twice. No luck.)

I have 14 more chapters of freelance, and they have to be finished by Friday. They will get done! ‘ ‘ ‘text/javascript’>

  1. Beautiful!!! What yarn are you using? And I am completely with you on knitting and leaving tiny reindeer- that would be awesome :)

  2. So, next July when you start knitting reindeer…

I’ll trade you your 14 chapter of freelance for the three essays I am currently looking at from students who do not have the slightest clue how to “show not tell”, or, evidently, even begin to adhere to clearly stated word limits. No, dearheart, in your particular case “more” is absolutely not the same as “better”.

(Not you! These students! From you, Angie, more is almost **always** better :-) )

  3. My mantra for big freelance projects: It will feel so good when it is done. I will feel light and liberated from the laptop. Repeat until done.

I love your commitment to November daily blog posts. You make this introvert feel like there are other people like me in this crazy, loud world.

  4. Do you have a link for the reindeer pattern? I would love to knit 100 of them and leave them around as well, but probably will knit 4 to give as presents. And I want to knit something, but can’t commit to anything large, so need to ease into it.
