Lethal and Young (at Heart)
When I was young and frisky, I could stick a dozen large marshmallows into my mouth without swallowing or gagging.
To celebrate my 38th birthday, I decided to test the elasticity of my cheeks (and my glossopharyngeal nerve) once again.
Enjoy.
(And just so you know, the background tune is Lethal and Young by Hawksley Workman. Look him up and buy his stuff. I think you'll like it.)
((Happy Birthday to both Sweetney and Kat, too! And Burt Bacharach!))

at 5/11/2008 8:51:58 PM- I'm sitting here wondering what kind of day you had that would leave you able to perform such a feat of daring do!
Also, how you were able to end the performance without highspeed regurgitation at the camera? THAT, my friend, is the kind of self control born only of being the woman who could have refused to smile for the birdie in "Angela '88."

I too, however, was left wanting (very much!) to see the inevitable marshmallow explosion that must have followed this very sedate performance.
Maybe next time.

Karen T-H and Carroll--Less than ten seconds after waving to the camera, I was standing over the trash can doing a very lovely projectile marshmallow purge. (I would have done it on camera, but I was so afraid of getting gunk on the keyboard.)

at 5/11/2008 10:09:20 PM- You just confirmed it: my girl-crush on you is now official.
I haven't played "chubby bunny" in years, but I may have to try it out again now just to entertain the small humans. And maybe to entertain my husband, but then again it would likely give him ideas, and we can't be having that, now, can we.
Happy Birthday!!!

I was really hoping for marshmallow projectiles at the end. Regardless, that was awesome and dangerous and all kinds of delightful. I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
