Happy Independence Day! I am amazed so many celebrations were today. Tomorrow I will be on a 63 foot yacht in Santa Barbara harbor. It is quite The Thing. Maybe Oprah will stop by – who knows?

Yay for the 4th! And yay for it being over! We had horrible rains that began a perfect 30 minutes before the fireworks show was to begin and so we stayed home with friends and watched The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke. Wow. Is that ever a depressing movie to watch when you’re wanting to see giant firework displays and hear the boom of the dynamite. Really. I should have just put my head in the oven instead.
ANYWAY, I am finally getting off my patootie to send you that book. Sometimes, I astound myself with my procrastination.
