That was a memorable day to me, for it made great changes in me. But, it is the same with any life. Imagine one selected day struck out of it and think how different its course would have been. Pause, you who read this, and think for a long moment of the long chain of iron or gold, or thorns or flowers, that would never have bound you, but for the formation of the first link on that memorable day.
-Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

I wouldn’t exist without these two, and I wouldn’t be who I am without their amazing example of What a Relationship Should Be. 50 years in, and they’re still going strong.

  1. YAY! Happy Anniversary to your folks! Mine got married not quite two months before yours, and they’re still going strong as well. Cheers to amazing parents! (P.S. If I’da known, I could have sent you a butt-ton of 50th Wedding Anniversary decorations. As it is, I threw them out a couple of weeks ago. Tra la.)

  2. Happy congratulations for the establishment of a clearly spectacular gene pool! We’re heading toward 47 ourselves & the years to come are looking very very good indeed. May you and the many other youngsters among your readers enjoy the same great good fortune in life!
