This afternoon I went to the Rock-n-Roll Craft Show with Chris and Kym.
After the show, we went to Pi.
After Pi, we went to Knitty Couture.
Perfect day.
And now I’m just trying to figure out if I should have my hair all cut off again, or if I should continue to let it grow.
(I’m not purposefully letting it grow—it’s just that I haven’t had a haircut in over two months, so growing has happened.)
((My hair normally looks something like this. Sadly, right now it looks like I’m wearing a very awkward helmet, and I’m actually having to use a blow dryer, which makes me feel a bit too bothered. PLUS, we’re going out of town next weekend, and I really don’t feel like dealing with electronic hair equipment. Also, I really love Alice’s hair.))
I would create a Grow or No Grow poll, but I lack the energy. Oh, man! Tomorrow is the final day of NaBloPoMo! Is there anything you needed from me before I go? ‘ ‘ ‘text/javascript’>
I, for one, since you’ve asked, have let my hair grow out a bit. Though I’m a lot older than you, I felt it was a bit harsh, so short, with my angular features and pointy nose and all. Now, you…you’ve always looked adorable, from what I can see in pictures, with your shortshort hair. Not that I have anything negative to say about the hair of this Alice of whom you speak. If nothing else, it’s cheaper to let it grow.
So, there you have it.
You should get it cut.
I really love your short haircut. I also love Alice’s hair, but it looks as though it might require at two hair products and one appliance to produce. That’s three too many things for me.
(If Alice is reading this and it turns out I’m wrong, please let me know. If I”m wrong, I’m taking a picture of Alice to my stylist.)
I think you have the cutest little pixie cut, but I also think you should join me in the hell that is growing out your hair. Try something new!
i love alice’s hair, but i’m not sure it’s as maintenance-free as you would like it to be. i’m all about no-maintenance hair so i know what you mean. i think you look lovely in the martini glass photo.
I’m glad you’ve mentioned your hair. I think the lead female alien on the new TV series “V” looks like you, but I felt awkward randomly chiming in, “Sorry about your cat’s ear. You look like that lead female alien on V.” Oh, and I’m not saying you look like an alien…the alien lady is very, very pretty…just like you. :-)
Yes! Every time I saw that “V” promo, all I could think was, “Damn – who does she remind me of?!” Now I know!
P.S. I agree that as awesome as Alice’s hair looks, it would require a hairdryer PLUS MUCH MORE, so … no. (I have a similar ‘do, so I know of which I speak.) If my face was not perfectly round, I would puffy-heart-lurve to chop mine off Pudding-style, but I would look like a volleyball with a guinea pig spread-eagled on top. Get a trim, and keep your awesome look, Angela – it suits you so well!
P.P.S. My daughter (second-year piano student) was blown away by your Vimeo post the other day. Well done, Miss I-Was-Just-Checking-The-Tuning! :o)
I love your hair! (and I too was reminded of you every time I see the alien lady on V)(because of the hair).
I wish I had the guts to try a pixie cut like yours but I fear my head is odd shaped and my hair would do something funny. Sigh.
(I guess my vote is: get a trim!)
Alice’s haircut makes me SWOON. Love it. You must have it.
And you could always plead with Whoorl at hair thursday for her opinion.
Let it grow, try something new. We are going to be forty soon (YIKES)!!!
There’s no way you could get that look without some work. Maybe you could have it cut, and then get a perfect fringe tattooed onto your forehead.
Have you ever had longer hair (as an adult)?
Any pictures you’d be willing to share so we can give you more fully-informed opinions?
I just cut off all my hair. Out of respect, I think you should let yours grow. Mainly because not one person (including my boyfriend) in the last two days has said anything about my new haircut. I fear that means they hate it.
You grow yours so that I can live vicariously through you. As soon as mine gets long enough to require any kind of real attention, out come the clippers, but part of me wants a cute angled bob.
a) my vote is for grow, just because. it’s cold out there, hair helps keep ya warm.
b) loved the faux caramel apple salad recipe. yummers, thanks.
CUT IT! I love your cute pixie cut! I’m actually in the same position as you. I haven’t been to have my hair cut OR COLORED since the summer started, so my hair is a MESS. There isn’t one event that I go to that SOMEONE doesn’t mention my grey hair. Seriously. So I’m thinking of going super pixie like you! Or maybe a punkier version of pixie. Or maybe just my same old tired haircut I always get, which looks disturbingly similar to Kate of Jon & Kate. Ew. Appointment booked for Sunday though. CAN I GET AN AMEN!?!
How’s your cat’s ear? I need an update.
I love Alice’s hair. VERY cute, I think you could pull that off very well. Your current hairstyle is also very cute. I got the wild hair not to get my hair cut some 19 months ago.
Change is good.
Damn, I could have met Chris and Kym…I didn’t recognize them but i did notice a hand knit sweater on someone you were with…
